Family with children who want comfort
The room was very clean and the staff were lovely they even helped us with our luggage when we needed it and offered us complimentary tea in the common room which was a nice touch and they said we could take some to our room too this made our stay feel more like home
It wasn't exactly cheap but it provided good value for what we got

It was just a fitting option for a concise stay in Oxford with good price value. The common room had free tea and coffee, which was nice after a long day exploring. Bring earplugs as it can get noisy in the mornings.

We stayed in a lovely Standard Twin Room, and the location was wonderfully convenient for exploring Oxford. With clean facilities and a charming view of a small park, the experience felt quite nostalgic, reminiscent of student life. Our family especially enjoyed the dining options available nearby.
In my wife’s opinion, it would be great if there were more family-friendly amenities, especially regarding stair access with little ones.

The location shines, smack in the heart of everything you need to see, making it a breeze to explore. Rooms aren’t cluttered, keeping things airy and indirect light filtering through keeps the mood nice.
The heat in the room was relentless, with those west-facing windows soaking up afternoon sun and a desk fan barely doing anything to help. The bathroom had an awkward design — no towel rails in sight and a huge gap under the door letting in all sorts of smells and noises. Check-out was a hassle since reception didn’t open until 8 AM in a different building, making an early departure kind of a maze. I fixed the toilet myself because it had some issues, which shouldn't be on the guest. On top of that, we had some noisy neighbors that didn’t seem to understand volume control, making it less than ideal for a relaxing stay.

I enjoyed the location, as it was central yet quiet, making it easy to explore the area. The access to a kitchenette was helpful after long days out. I had a mix of thoughts when I bumped my head numerous times in the room due to the eaves, which was a challenge during my stay.
The room design makes it hard to navigate safely because of the low ceilings.
